Rufus has that rather rugged charm that reminds me of Charlie from It's Always Sunny. ![]() Cares about nobody but himself, always considers himself to be the goody two-shoes who would never burn down that hospital despite holding the matches while saying so, and has an uncanny ability to take a beating and combining random junk together to make something that might be useful in certain situations. The quirky characters that everyone loves to hate, especially the narcissistic jackass Rufus. ![]() You can't talk about Deponia without talking about the characters. Daedalic Entertainment revives the genre with the Deponia trilogy. "How the hell was I supposed to figure that out?!" The point and click genre has gained a small but loyal fanbase series like King's Quest and Monkey Island get sequels that continue to make players chuckle at the absurdity of the situation one moment and tear their hair out because of an equally absurd yet difficult puzzle. All of the missable trophies can be done at any point before entering the rowboat (not the pirate ship) with Goal.Īnd finally.One of the greatest philosophical questions of the 21st century stems from people familiar with LucasArts games. Thankfully, this means you can skip the annoying mosaic puzzle. There are missable trophies, but you don't have to worry about accidentally putting yourself into an unwinnable state at any point. The Deponia series follows the old LucasArts mantra of adventure games: you can't mess it up. It is up to Rufus to save Deponia, the land he hates. Wacky hijinks ensue as he stumbles across a fallen Elysian girl, Goal, and is drawn into a sinister plot. It tells the story of Rufus, a loveable but reckless idiot who desperately wants to leave the junk planet of Deponia and ascend to the mysterious and prosperous sky city, Elysium.
